To serve fishery
trading and processing enterprises;
To serve as a medium of information exchange between fisheries authorities
and enterprises of this sector;
To foster cordial relations among the membership;
To provide related technique consulting and information services;
To organize all kinds of aquatic processing technique exchange meeting
and trade fairs;
To protect and ensure the best interests of fishery trading and processing
enterprises in China on legislative and marketing fronts;
To advance aquatic products processing techniques and management levels,
and the prosperity of aquatic products market; |

Membership |
| The association
has established some professional committees. Based on a membership
system, so far, the association has recruited nearly 1,000 members
in many cities all over the China. Individuals, companies and organizations
engaged in all aquatic products processing, marketing, research and
training can sign for the membership of CAPPMA. |

Activities
of CAPPMA |
| In order to
promote the development of the industry, CAPPMA often helps the government
draw up the aquatic products processing and marketing plans, holds
all kinds of trade activities, organizes and participates all kinds
of domestic and international exhibitions, holds different types of
trainings and seminars, investigates among the industry voluntarily
or be entrusted to do so sometimes , draw-ups product standards, supervises
among the industry, enhances the communication with the foreign related
organizations, organizes the international economic and trade conferences;
and it has built up good relationship with the related foreign organizations
and associations, and so on. CAPPMA has established its own net of
the China Fisheries (www.cappma.com), and has published its semimonthly
publication of "China Fishery Products Marketing and Processing
Information" which provides the current and valuable information.
At the same time, it assists the government in constructing "Chinese
Fishery Products Price Information Net" which provides the trends
of fishery products market. |
